Hot Dogs

In this heatwave its easy to complain, to worry about yourselves. Its simple to put your needs first.

Firstly, get your butt off your sofa and make sure your furry friend has plenty of water. Don’t panic if they don’t seem hungry who wants to eat in this weather?

Now lets talk exercise : Don’t. At least save it till the temperature drops, perhaps mid December? Asphalt can be hot on sensitive paws, animals can die of heatstroke.

If you suspect your animal is suffering, the clinic will be able to help.

Another way to cool your pet down is to trim its fur. I know this seems obvious but some breeds will welcome a hair cut. Perhaps if you cant find a groomers you could make an appointment for your pets at Curl up and Dye. Please remember, if you go for a colour change it has to be animal friendly dye.

Finally. Cars. Just don’t leave your dog in hot cars. Don’t leave them even with the window cracked open. If you see a dog in a hot car, please feel free to break the windows for the douchebag owner to pay for the damage. Or if you want to do this legally, phone the police, I know some of the cops are dog lovers and will gladly help.
